Describes how Denofans collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use the platform for non-explicit creator content and general (non-explicit) features.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

1. Who We Are

Denofans is a creator subscription platform available at https://denofans.com and related applications. Denofans is operated by Idolo Media and Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", or "our").

Idolo Media and Technologies Ltd is the data controller for personal data described in this policy.

Contact: support@denofans.com (support & data protection), info@denofans.com (general inquiries), products@denofans.com (feature requests and product updates).

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy for General Content ("Policy") applies when you use Denofans for non-explicit content and general (non-explicit) features, including through our website, progressive web application (PWA), and the Android mobile app from the Play Store.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from Denofans.

3. Information We Collect

Account information: email address, first and last name, username, date of birth, gender, country, language preference, profile avatar, and banner image.

Authentication data: one-time password (OTP) tokens sent to your email, Google OAuth profile information (when you sign in with Google), session tokens (JWT), and device/browser information associated with your session.

Usage data: feed views, posts liked or commented on, subscription activity, gamification metrics (points, streaks, leaderboard rankings, trophies), search queries, and notification preferences.

Payment data: transaction history, subscription status, wallet balance, and currency preferences. Full payment card numbers are processed by our payment providers (such as Paystack, MOMO, and NowPayments) and are not stored by Denofans.

Support data: messages sent through email support, live chat (Crisp), or WhatsApp, including your account mode (fan or creator) and whether you have a creator profile.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral URLs, cookies, and similar identifiers. We may use analytics tools in the future; this policy will be updated if we do.

Creator content metadata: titles, descriptions, tags, categories, visibility settings, and upload timestamps for content published on the general track.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to: provide and operate the Service; authenticate you and maintain your session; personalize your feed and recommendations; process subscriptions, purchases, tips, and wallet transactions; operate gamification features; communicate with you about your account, security, and support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.

We may send promotional communications about Denofans features. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and analytics); consent (where required, such as marketing or optional cookies); and legal obligation (tax, law enforcement requests, and regulatory compliance).

You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6. How We Share Your Data

We share personal data with service providers who process data on our behalf, including: Cloudflare (video streaming via Stream and image hosting via Images); payment processors including Paystack, MOMO, and NowPayments (for crypto); Google (OAuth authentication); Crisp (live chat support); and Resend (transactional and support email delivery).

We may share data with law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers for targeted advertising based on your general content viewing history.

If Denofans is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred subject to this policy.

7. International Data Transfers

Denofans operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

8. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Transaction and tax records are retained as required by applicable law (typically seven years for financial records).

Support tickets are retained for up to three years unless a longer period is required for legal or dispute resolution purposes.

You may request deletion of your account data subject to exceptions described in Section 9.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; export your data in a portable format; restrict or object to certain processing; and withdraw consent.

You can update profile and privacy settings in your account settings. Data export and account deletion requests can be initiated from the Danger Zone in fan settings or by contacting support@denofans.com.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell personal data).

10. Children's Privacy

Denofans is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. Anyone under 18 is not permitted to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected personal data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly and may terminate the related account.

If you believe a minor has provided data, contact support@denofans.com.

11. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session (including JWT tokens persisted in localStorage) and preferences such as theme and language.

We may use analytics cookies in the future. When introduced, we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent before placing non-essential cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.

12. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including: encrypted API traffic routed through our own secure channels; JWT-based authentication; signed, time-limited URLs for media delivery; access controls on internal systems; and secure hosting infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Report security concerns to support@denofans.com.

13. Changes & Contact

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice at least fourteen (14) days before taking effect.

Questions about this policy: support@denofans.com or info@denofans.com.
